Instructions for Setting Up and Using the DOTS SPECIAL System
Welcome to the club, Knight! We've made setting up the bot very simple — all you need to do is change the lot size, the magic number, and set the maximum drawdown in accordance with your prop firm's rules.

Maximum Daily Drawdown
It depends on your prop firm's rules; subtract 0.3 from the total allowable daily drawdown. For GFT, the maximum drawdown is 3%, so you need to enter 2.70
Maximum Daily Profit
For PREMIUM accounts = 1.5%
For GOAT accounts = 0.95%
For GOAT accounts = 0.95%
Daily Protection
Enter the same value as in “Maximum Daily Profit.” This feature serves as a backup for the first feature in case of an emergency.
Power and Osbserver
These values do not need to be changed. The power is always 2, and the Observer is always 0.56.
Magic
Change these values to 5 or 6 random digits. If the robot has open positions, do not change these values; the robot uses these specific digits to identify “its” positions.
All other settings do not need to be changed. If you find any fields in the settings that are not described here, simply leave them as they are.

Basic recommendations for choosing a prop trading firm

News trading and overnight and weekend position rollovers are available. Gold trading is available.
The robot may sometimes hold positions for more than one day or carry them over the weekend. In theory, you could close such positions manually before the "day rollover," but the results would differ, and we do not recommend doing so.

Advisor trading is available (our EA doesn't use martingale or other dangerous methods).
Ensure that algorithmic trading is permitted by your prop firm. If your prop firm requires proof of ownership of the trading robot, we can assist you with that.

Pay attention to the swap price compared to other prop trading firms, such as the FTMO swing account. If the price is significantly higher, it will be bad for you and could erode part of your profit.
Usually, there are no issues with swaps. However, if your broker has a low trust rating and you suspect they might try to cause you to lose your account, check the swap rates.

Minimum leverage for gold is 10. If your leverage is lower, reduce the LOT proportionally to how much lower the leverage is than 10.
99% of brokers meet these conditions, but it’s worth double-checking just in case.

For example: at FTMO, the gold price looks like 0000.00, while at some brokers it looks like 0000.000, which is acceptable. If yours looks like 0000.0 or 0000.0000, you need to change your broker. The robot does not support any other formats!

Pay attention to the spread on gold. Bad prop trading firms may intentionally widen spreads during the market open on Monday. If you have open positions, you could be wiped out by the DD. Compare the spread with the FTMO swing account.
We are not responsible for your broker's spreads. Try to choose a prop firm where spread widening during news events or at the start of the trading week is minimal. Unscrupulous brokers intentionally widen spreads during sharp price spikes to cause you to lose your account. The robot includes protection against this, but it will not save you if the spread increases a hundredfold.
The robot has three periods: a Growth period, a Stagnation period, and a Decline period. We can't grow constantly, we can't increase our deposit without stopping. Sometimes the robot needs to experience a long "bad streak" or simply stagnate, which is also normal. But for example, in 2024-2025, there were growth periods and occasional stagnation periods with drawdowns.
And most importantly, NEVER INTERFERE WITH THE ROBOT. Don't close its positions, even if the profit is already large (for example, 4% of the deposit) or even if there's a drawdown. You shouldn't stop the robot or touch its positions, as this will disrupt its statistics and you'll pay for it much more later.
